Job description

We are seeking a Market & Business Development Specialist to drive growth, develop market intelligence, and strengthen customer relationships for our Pharma Packaging Solutions (Vials, Ampoules, Syringes & Cartridges). The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to identify new business opportunities while fostering relationships with both customers and internal teams

Location : Mumbai

Responsibilities :

Market Research & Competitive Analysis :

  • Develop and document market intelligence for vials, ampoules, syringes, and cartridges.
  • Analyse customer data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide strategic insights to optimize pricing, positioning, and sales strategies.

Business Growth & Customer Acquisition :

  • Identify and acquire new customers, driving business expansion.
  • Develop new projects with existing customers by promoting innovative products and solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the industry.

    • Technical & Sales Enablement :

  • Serve as the technical expert, offering insights and advice on product features, specifications, and practical applications.
  • Interface with customers to understand their technical requirements and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Promote the technical advantages of our products to attract new business opportunities.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Work closely with internal teams including Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance to enhance customer experience.
  • Align business strategies with technical and operational capabilities to drive growth.
  • Support marketing initiatives by providing technical content for promotional materials and presentations.

    • Key Deliverables :

  • Comprehensive market insights to drive informed business decisions.
  • Increased customer base through strategic business development efforts.
  • Enhanced product positioning by leveraging technical expertise.
  • Strong internal collaboration for seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

    • Education Qualification :

  • Master’s in Business Administration / Equivalent Post-Graduate Degree in Business Management / B. Pharm / B.E.

    • Experience :

  • 2-7 years of experience preferably from Pharma Machinery / Pharma Packaging development Engineer / R&D scientist / Packaging development

    • Competencies :

  • Core Competencies : Communication competencies, teamwork, creative problem solving, negotiation, customer focus
  • Functional Competencies : Resource management, cost monitoring, systems development, process improvement, internal control
  • Behavioural Competencies : Leading people, creating coalitions, result driven, self-management, interpersonal communication

  • Excellent in : Decision making, planning, data analysis, organizational leadership, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, adaptability, people skills, convincing, presentation & public speaking
  • Good in : Business negotiation, resource optimization, team management, conflict management and reporting skills, proficient in MS Office and sound knowledge of SAP, fluency in English – written and spoken
