Job Title : Program Mentor / Facilitator

Qualification : B.E / MTech

Experience : Minimum 2 years&apos experience or freshers with a strong interest in makerspaces and related projects are welcome to apply.

Who Are We Looking For

We're seeking passionate makers who are eager to educate and inspire young minds. This role goes beyond traditional training—it&aposs about cultivating curiosity, fostering experimentation, and teaching the art of learning. If you have the ability to connect with young graduates and empower them to think creatively and independently, you are exactly the person we want to hire.

Join us in reintroducing the culture of building and making among young people, and help shape the next generation of creators, for the community.

Outcomes :

  • Deliver impactful technical sessions to engineering students.
  • Mentor 5–10 student projects toward working prototypes.
  • Facilitate participation in tech events, hackathons, or expos.
  • Help raise grants / funding for at least 2–3 student innovations.
  • Ensure active and safe usage of makerspace tools.
  • Establish at least 3 external collaborations (industry / startups).
  • Encourage 2–3 socially relevant or community-based innovations.

Skills required :

  • Proficiency in developing prototypes using rapid prototyping tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, 3D CAD modelling software, basic electronics, and programming microcontrollers (Arduino / Raspberry Pi).
  • Strong communication skills to conduct engaging and interactive sessions.
  • Expertise in problem-solving, product design, rapid prototyping, and hands-on open-source tools.
  • Experience mentoring students or a passion for student development.
  • A love for tinkering and a portfolio of projects you&aposve built.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate a team, resolve challenges, and inspire others to take on new problems.
  • A growth mindset, always eager to learn and adapt.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Deliver course content that helps students identify social challenges and create technical products or services as solutions.
  • Conduct workshops on the use of rapid prototyping tools and machinery.
  • Develop and provide educational materials, including notes, tests, and assignments.
  • Mentor students in their hands-on projects and guide them toward successful outcomes.
  • Identify students with entrepreneurial potential and encourage their development.
  • Allocate and grade homework, assignments, and tests.
  • Prepare exam questions for internal assessments.
  • Evaluate and document student progress.
  • Prepare and distribute periodic progress reports.
  • Assist students in building prototypes, applying skills in rapid prototyping tools.

  • Have mentored juniors or peers in academic or innovation-based projects.

  • Have been part of student clubs, communities, or innovation cells .
  • Have built a portfolio of projects , shared on GitHub, personal website, or documented through videos / presentations.
  • Have done internships or volunteer work in fields related to education, social impact, or grassroots innovation.
  • Are self-taught learners who proactively pick up new tools, platforms, or methods outside curriculum.
  • Have experience using open-source platforms and tools for electronics, design, or collaboration.
