In this role, you will design, implement, and oversee end-to-end data solutions across cloud platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and robust data integration. You will collaborate with engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver innovative technical solutions while mentoring junior engineers and guiding best practices. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies, including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Spark, in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. You will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable technical architectures, producing detailed documentation, and supporting client-facing engagements. The role combines technical leadership, hands-on development, and strategic planning to influence architecture decisions and improve operational excellence.

Accountabilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end data solutions across multiple cloud platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
  • Lead technical initiatives, POCs, and architecture decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a high-performing team culture.
  • Produce comprehensive solution documentation, including roadmaps, sequence diagrams, logical system views, and class hierarchies.
  • Communicate technical designs and solutions effectively to clients and internal teams through presentations and documentation.
  • Support integration, orchestration, and automation of data workflows, leveraging technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and dbt.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect or Data Engineer designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, and / or Scala.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake) and distributed data storage systems (S3, ADLS, HDFS, NoSQL).
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, debug, and optimize queries.
  • Experience with data integration technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Luigi.
  • Client-facing experience with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Preferred : Experience with end-to-end software development lifecycle, automated pipelines, multiple data sources, and cloud-native data platforms.
