Education : Qualified CA with 7+years post qualification.

Expectations and requirements :

  • Should have strong proficiency in English both written and oral.
  • Should possess expert level knowledge of Assurance.
  • Should possess expert level knowledge of accounting standards, including and specifically Ind AS / IFRS and USGAAP.
  • Should have excellent report writing skills including compiling presentations, memos and relevant documents.
  • Have expert knowledge and understanding of concepts around accounting and Assurance, including strong familiarity with financial statements.
  • Have experience of working on large complex engagements and multiple reporting environments.
  • Have experience of working on listed, Public interest entities and large entities.
  • Have knowledge and experience of ensuring excellent quality Assurance documentation, Assurance work papers, etc.
  • The role is for Bangalore location and is fully on site, and the expectation will be to primarily and substantially work at client locations / client offices basis nature of engagements and respective engagement and client requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Lead teams and Assurance engagements end to end.
  • Handle areas and work allocated including testing and relevant Assurance procedures.
  • Prepare and review Assurance work papers and ensure compliance with firms policies and procedures and also regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a SPOC for the team with the client. Manage and supervise team members including article staff.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams including client personnel for information / data
  • Support the team on standardization of processes, documentation, analysis of technical issues, and research solutions.
  • Participate in meeting with various teams, and contribute for the areas and responsibilities handled.
  • Understanding business & industry issues / trends.
  • Ensuring timely delivery as per the defined timelines.
  • Ensuring compliance with engagement plans, internal quality & risk management procedures. Should demonstrate knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and keep up to date with new pronouncements relating to Ind AS.
  • Ownership and accountability of delivering all aspects of the Assurance engagement, from start to finish.
  • Be responsible to front end and manage the internal and external quality review process for respective engagements and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with teams including with experts and specialists involved in supporting delivery of Assurance engagements.
  • Responsible for the operational matters including, billing, collections, efficiency and optimal utilisation of efforts and resources, monitoring engagement budgets, etc.
  • Proactively taking up full responsibility of engagement deliverables.
  • Support the Engagement Partner in managing communications, preparing and reviewing deliverables, discussions with stakeholders including boards, Assurance committees, etc
  • Coach and mange team members including facilitating on the job training.
  • Participate and undertake trainings and training programs both technical and non-technical topics
  • Contribute to firm and practice related matters for the location and also national initiatives.
