Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong technical and analytical skills to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS, and should be able to work on complex mainframe applications involving analysis, design, development, and support.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL,VSAM. DB2, and CICS.

Perform analysis of business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Debug and resolve application issues in production and test environments.

Develop and execute test cases to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Optimize mainframe programs for better performance and efficiency.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and support teams.

Prepare technical documentation and user guides as needed.

Technical Skills Required :

Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL,VSAM, DB2, CICS .

Knowledge of VSAM, IMS DB / DC is an added advantage.

Good understanding of mainframe utilities (SORT, IDCAMS, IEBGENER, etc.).

Experience in debugging tools like Xpediter, File-Aid .

Exposure to Endevor / Changeman or other mainframe configuration management tools.

Knowledge of SDLC processes and Agile methodologies.

You do not have hands-on COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS 2+years experience

You are looking for remote only (role is hybrid in Pune )

You are a fresher or unrelated background (e.g., support, testing only, non-Java roles)
