Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to drive our market entry and business development efforts in India. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic sales professional with a strong technical understanding of electrical connectors and a proven track record of developing new business, particularly within the industrial, automation, and manufacturing sectors. You will be responsible for building the WECO brand from the ground up in India.
Key Responsibilities :
Market Development : Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to penetrate the Indian market, identifying and targeting key industries and potential clients.
New Business Acquisition : Actively prospect, generate leads, and acquire new customers to build a robust sales pipeline.
Key Account Management : Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Technical Sales : Work closely with customers' engineering teams to understand their application requirements and provide technical solutions using WECO's product portfolio ("Design-In").
Revenue Growth : Achieve and exceed agreed-upon sales targets and profitability metrics.
Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with our international sales teams and internal departments (factor, technical support and logistic) to ensure seamless customer service.
Market Intelligence : Monitor competitor activity and market trends, providing regular feedback to management to shape strategy.
Representation : Represent WECO at industry trade shows, conferences, and technical seminars across India.
Reporting : Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to the GM in Hong Kong.
Required Skills & Competencies :
Technical Acumen : Strong understanding of electrical connector products and their applications.
Hunter Mentality : A proven ability to hunt for new business opportunities and open new accounts.
Excellent Communication : Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English and Hindi is essential. Knowledge of Telugu is a significant advantage.
Customer-Oriented : A strong focus on understanding and fulfilling customer needs.
Self-Starter : Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and thrive in a startup environment within a larger corporation.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Willingness to travel extensively within the region and across India as required.
