Job description

Role : Assistant Manager Finance

Location : Hyderabad - Onsite

Position Overview : Ensuring timely preparation and filing of various returns under the GST act. He / She must work along with the team to ensure the books are closed in all respects every month. The candidate should have strong accounting knowledge required for the scrutiny of books and preparation of financials

Responsibilities :

  • GST working, Payment, and return filing for the states (At present we are registered in 3 States in India and growing further).
  • Reconciliation of GST ITC, Ensuring all compliances of GST as applicable to the company.
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
  • Finalization of books of account and financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Preparing and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of monthly management accounting for management’s review includes general accounting and reporting, fixed assets, statutory accounting in accordance with SLAs.
  • Produce financial reports, revenue expenditure, variance analysis and planning corporate financing.
  • Manage and coordinate Statutory Auditors, Income tax Auditors, Investor Due diligence etc
  • Perform other financial responsibility as and when required and handle ad hoc task.
  • Regularly track and resolve outstanding general accounting and reporting issues that have been escalated.
  • Proactively identify, propose, and implement continuous improvement opportunities in existing processes within the team.
  • Must be experienced enough to communicate with top level management.

Requirements :

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or CA Inter or professional qualifications such as CA, CMA etc.
  • Practical experience with GST compliance of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B filings, Annual Return in GSTR-9 / 9C and reconciliation of data work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear manner. Skills in report writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess positive attitude and thinking, able to work independently, self-motivation, contribute to a positive team and run several project engagements concurrently.
  • Good observation, judgement, analytical and summaries skills.
  • Well verse with Accounting Software such as Tally etc.
  • Having Articleship exposure is an add on
  • Should have good knowledge about GST, Income Tax, and companies act.
  • Strong analytical skills that able to clearly link financial result to operational performance drivers and familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Adaptable and flexible to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances and to work in ambiguous situations.
