Job Summary
The L1 and L2 Firewall Support Engineer will provide technical support, troubleshoot, and maintain Sophos and Fortinet firewall systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. Candidates must have at least 2 years of hands-on firewall experience.
Key Responsibilities
L1 Support Engineer :
- Monitor and maintain Sophos and Fortinet firewalls for performance and security.
- Resolve L1 support tickets for connectivity, access policies, and basic configurations.
- Analyze firewall logs and escalate complex issues to L2 engineers.
- Assist in managing user access, VPNs, and firewall rules.
- Document configurations and incident reports.
- Provide professional support to stakeholders.
L2 Support Engineer (Includes L1 Duties) :
Troubleshoot complex firewall issues, including configurations and security breaches.Optimize firewall policies, NAT, IPS / IDS, and VPN settings.Respond to security incidents like malware or DDoS attacks.Manage firmware updates and security patches.Collaborate on network integration with routers and switches.Train L1 engineers and generate performance reports.Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience : Minimum 2 years in firewall administration with Sophos and Fortinet.Skills Required
