Key Responsibilities
Policy Development and Enforcement : Create and update safety policies and procedures that align with local state and national regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Risk Assessment and Hazard Control : Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to prevent accidents.
Safety Training and Education : Develop and conduct training programs to educate employees on safe work practices equipment use and emergency protocols.
Incident Investigation : Investigate workplace accidents incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure the organization adheres to all relevant health and safety laws regulations and standards.
Emergency Preparedness : Support and coordinate emergency preparedness and response efforts including disaster management plans.
Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of safety inspections audits incidents and safety-related training for tracking and accountability.
Equipment Management : Monitor and ensure that all safety equipment including personal protective equipment (PPE) is available functional and up to standard.
