Job Summary :

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven

Head of Procurement

to lead and transform our procurement function. This role will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimizing spend, ensuring supply continuity, and driving cost efficiencies across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, commercial acumen, and deep experience in sourcing, contract negotiations, and supply chain risk management.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and implement

a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives

Lead and manage

the procurement team across categories, regions, or business units

Drive

cost optimization , supplier consolidation, and risk mitigation across the supply base

Establish policies and procedures

to standardize and improve procurement processes

Oversee

strategic sourcing initiatives

for direct and indirect categories, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met

Lead

vendor negotiations , long-term contracts, and supplier performance management

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, finance, legal, engineering) to align procurement with business needs

Develop and track

KPIs and procurement metrics , reporting regularly to senior leadership

Ensure

compliance

with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and ESG standards in procurement activities

Leverage technology and digital tools to

enhance procurement efficiency and transparency

Monitor

market trends , emerging risks, and innovations in procurement and supply chain management

Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in

Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering , or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)

10–15+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Strong knowledge of

sourcing, category management, vendor management, and contract negotiation

Experience in managing

complex supplier networks , global procurement, and cost control strategies

Excellent

analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills

Strong leadership, team-building, and

change management

capabilities

Proficiency in

ERP systems

(e.g., SAP, Oracle), e-sourcing tools, and data analytics platforms

Industry-specific procurement experience from plastic companies is a plus
