Senior Manager, Research Informatics - Biological Studies

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Research Informatics - Biological Studies to provide leadership for our global team. This vital role is responsible for charting the course for the Research Informatics Biological Studies team, which enables technology and data capabilities for Amgen Research . The ideal candidate will be a scientific domain expert with a strong background in biopharma and a passion for fostering innovation. You will lead a highly talented team that implements software platforms for the capture, analysis, and storage of in vitro and in vivo study data, ensuring data integrity from the lab to analytics.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Team Leadership : Lead and manage diverse teams within a matrixed organization. You will develop talent, motivate the team, champion diversity, and act as a role model of servant leadership.
• Strategic Partnership : Partner with Research and Technology leaders to create technology delivery strategy and a prioritized agenda for Biological Studies. This includes ensuring scientific data operations are scoped into building Research-wide AI / ML capabilities.
• Platform Implementation : Provide leadership for the implementation and support of specialized technology platforms that enable streamlined and automated scientific data management. This includes ensuring global standards and practices are followed.
• Operational Excellence : Oversee operating and product team budgets. You will also be a point of contact for unmet service commitments and ensure communication of key performance metrics.
• Compliance & Governance : Remain accountable for ensuring overall organizational compliance with GxP and Privacy requirements. You will facilitate best practice sharing and ensure ongoing alignment with the Technology & Digital strategy.
