Role Overview :

The Manager Oracle DBA will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and support of Oracle and SQL Server databases across Medantas distributed environment.

This role demands strong technical expertise in Oracle architecture, replication, performance optimization, and database security.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Administration :

Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle databases.
Manage Oracle Golden Gate 11g replication, partitioned tables, and database backups / recovery (RMAN, Hot / Cold).
Conduct proactive health checks and troubleshoot database performance issues.

Operational Support :

Provide 24x7 on-call support and resolve escalated incidents.

Monitor and administer report queues, replication routines, and QA / Dev data setups.

Perform SQL query tuning and database performance analysis.

Implementation & Deployment :

Support UAT, go-live deployments, and stabilization for HIS and related systems.

Test vendor patches and assist in their rollout within timelines.

Process & Documentation :

Maintain issue trackers, approvals, and compliance with departmental processes.

Prepare adhoc reports and ensure accurate master data maintenance.

Skills & Qualifications :

Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, cloning, patching, and upgrades.

Hands-on experience with Golden Gate replication, Oracle OEM, RMAN, and PL / SQL.

Proficiency in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with security administration (roles, profiles, auditing).

Working knowledge of UNIX shell scripting.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; relevant certifications preferred.

Desirable Skills :

Experience with SQL Server administration.

Knowledge of Oracle Application Server, WebLogic, and Forms / Reports Server.

Exposure to healthcare IT systems
