Job Description : Application Lead – SAP FI S / 4HANA Accounting

Location : Bengaluru, India

Experience Required : Minimum 5 years in SAP FI S / 4HANA Accounting

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Application Lead – SAP FI S / 4HANA Accounting to drive the design, build, and configuration of applications, ensuring seamless alignment with business objectives. As the primary point of contact, you will lead cross-functional collaboration, oversee project execution, and provide strategic and technical guidance to your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP FI S / 4HANA Accounting, providing technical and functional expertise.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the application development team, ensuring high performance and accountability.
  • Take ownership of team decisions and contribute to key organizational and technical decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with multiple business and IT teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with financial and operational objectives.
  • Provide innovative and practical solutions to complex business problems across immediate and extended teams.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing forums to enhance team skills and capabilities.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective measures to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices, compliance standards, and organizational quality guidelines.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must-Have Skills :

  • Proven expertise in SAP FI S / 4HANA Accounting , including configuration, implementation, and support.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and business processes (AP, AR, GL, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with integration of SAP FI with other SAP modules (MM, SD, CO) and third-party applications.
  • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable technical specifications.
  • Proficiency with SAP reporting tools, Fiori apps, and data analysis techniques .

    • Good-to-Have Skills :

  • Knowledge of SAP Central Finance, Group Reporting, and parallel accounting.
  • Familiarity with S / 4HANA migration projects and new functionalities.
  • Exposure to financial compliance, audit, and tax-related processes within SAP.
