DevOps Scrum Master – SAP Ecosystem

The DevOps Scrum Master will lead Agile delivery teams within a complex SAP ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration of DevOps practices across development and operations. This role is pivotal in driving Agile maturity, fostering collaboration, and enabling continuous delivery and improvement across SAP modules such as S / 4HANA, BW / 4HANA, PI / PO, and SuccessFactors.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps Coach and transformation leadership

Define transformation roadmap to help customers to move from traditional operating models to DevOps operating models in a SAP space

Orchestrate DevOps transformation across different aspects like process, culture, change management, tooling, etc. across both external and internal stakeholders. Oversee and guide the implementation of DevOps tools integrated with SAP systems.

Champion DevOps principles such as CI / CD, automated testing, and monitoring within SAP environments.

Define and track KPIs for DevOps adoption, including deployment frequency, lead time for changes, and mean time to recovery.

Coordinate with platform and product IT teams to align operational responsibilities post-SAP go-live.

SAP Landscape Oversight

Ensure Agile delivery across SAP modules including S / 4HANA, BW, PI / PO, and cloud-based applications like SuccessFactors and Concur.

Support hybrid architecture operations involving on-premise and Azure-hosted SAP systems.

Collaborate with SAP Basis and functional teams to ensure system stability and performance.

Scrum Master Duties

Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.

Coach teams on Agile principles and Scrum practices, ensuring adherence to SAFe or SAP Activate frameworks.

Remove impediments and foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous learning.

Collaborate with Product Owners to manage and prioritize backlogs aligned with SAP delivery goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or equivalent Agile certifications.

8+ years of experience in SAP project delivery, with at least 4 years in a Scrum Master or DevOps role.

Strong understanding of SAP Activate methodology and DevOps toolchains.

Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with SAP Solution Manager, BTP, SAP Integration Suite, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).

Familiarity with Agile metrics and reporting tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, and LeanKit.

Exposure to global delivery models and cross-functional team coordination.
