Job description

Proven experience as a RHOSP / CBIS cloud admin managing Red Hat OpenStack / NFVI / Ceph storage.

Strong knowledge of OpenStack cloud, including design, administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Proficient in managing OpenStack OOO architecture includes Under cloud, Overcloud, Director, Compute, Controller and Storage.

Good understanding of different type of computes like OVS, SRIOV, Ephemeral.

Hands on experience with Availability Zones, Host aggregation, tenant management, virtual resource management.

Hands on experience with CEPH storage operations like OSD delete, recreate, set / unset flags as per operations requirement.

Knowledge in OpenStack Components like Nova, Neutron, Glance, cinder, Horizon, HA, CPU Pinning, NUMA, KVM

Strong understanding of OpenStack Networking.

Experience in docker / container technology.

Hands on experience with pcs cluster.

Hands On experience to manage Hardware from console like iLO / iDRAC.

Good understating of reading available logs to troubleshoot incidents.

Understanding on network protocols (TCP / IP, SNMP, HTTP, DNS)

Work closely with team members, cross function teams and vendor to resolve incidents quickly.

Isolate the product faults and raise the vender case and evaluate the solution provided to case.

Analyse existing / new environment to identify improvement areas and highlight risk, challenges, gaps associated with it.

Giving guidance in improving Operation & Maintenance instructions Implementation of proactive maintenance procedures.

Ensure customer satisfaction with the performance of installed systems by successful handling and reporting of all technical problems.

Evaluation of answers and solutions received from higher competence units to verify that the answer / solution will clear the problem reported by the vendors.

Writing documents for fault analysis / RCA along with required preventive and corrective actions.

Knowledge in Shell / Python script will be an add-on.

Actively participate in knowledge sharing sessions.

Linux Administration (Secondary) :

Experience on RHEL / CentOS 6 and 7
Experience in Linux to manage local users (Create / Delete / Disable / Home directory)
Hands on experience to manage daemon / services on Linux.
Experience on Network management on Linux
Good understanding of Linux logs and kernel messages.
Analyse existing / new environment to identify improvement areas and highlight risk, challenges, gaps associated with it.
Hand on experience to build Linux queries.
Understanding on network protocols (SSH / SFTP / TCP / IP, SNMP, HTTP, DNS)
