Job Description

Mechanical Engineer with experience in Inspection, Nondestructive testing, Mechanical integrity / Maintenance of refineries, gathering & metering stations of cross-country pipelines in oil & gas industries.

Key Responsibilities

The Engineer shall perform the following

• Review facility inspection findings from prior surveys, nondestructive test reports to develop scope.
• Review & update P&ID / isometric drawings to prioritize inspections in areas susceptible to internal corrosion.
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations, Industry codes, and standards (e.g., API 570, ASME PCC 2, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4 / B31.8, API 1104, ASME B16.5, ETPs) to ensure compliance.
• Communication with various stakeholders regarding recommendations after each inspection.
• Awareness of fabrication of piping segments, welding, installation, Nondestructive, Hydrostatic testing & coating of piping segments.
• Prepare Segment analysis table to perform inspection at various pipeline facilities.
• Identify the locations to be inspected from past nondestructive test reports & inspection Summary's.
• Evaluate the recommendations of Nondestructive testing contractor & provide rectifications to enhance integrity of each facility.
• After discussion with stakeholders' recommendations are transferred for uploading into GE-APM.
• Identify Dead legs in each facility.
• Review of P&ID, general arrangement drawings & isometric drawings
• Review of inspection reports & Nondestructive test reports.
