Head – Design Engineer (Sheet Metal Fabrication)

The Head – Design Engineer will lead the design and development function for all sheet metal fabrication projects. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep technical knowledge, innovation capability, and the ability to manage a team of design engineers to deliver high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the entire design department for sheet metal components, assemblies, and product development.
• Review and approve design drawings, models, and fabrication layouts as per industry standards.
• Work closely with production, quality, and marketing teams to ensure manufacturability and functionality.
• Optimize designs for material usage, accuracy, and ease of manufacturing.
• Manage a team of engineers, assign projects, and monitor progress.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance for complex projects.
• Coordinate with customers for design feasibility, drawing approvals, and project updates.
• Develop standard design practices and enforce CAD data management systems.
• Research new materials, tools, and technologies to improve design efficiency.
