About the team / Practice Area
The Investor Transformation team in Frost & Sullivan drives and manages relationships with the financial services community and leads our efforts in providing advisory / consulting engagements to them. Leading customer segments include investment banks, commercial banks, insurance companies, venture / corporate venture capital companies, private equity firms, and institutional fund managers, as well as diversified conglomerates and corporations, among others.
About the Role
The team empowers forward-thinking investors and corporates to help capital markets activities (public and private), strategize acquisition strategies, enhance due diligence, and execute with confidence across the full investment lifecycle. From origination and M&A advisory to value creation and strategic exit planning, our experts combine deep industry knowledge, proprietary tools, and global benchmarking to drive faster, more profitable investment outcomes.
In terms of specific activities, the Investor Transformation Practice meets the needs of clients in all aspects of proprietary / customized research, due diligence, idea generation, opportunity analysis, market monitoring, financial modeling / feasibility studies, investment valuation, mergers & acquisitions support and Independent Market Research (IMR) especially for IPO listing and corporate exercises.
We are now looking for candidates with integrity who are results driven, self-motivated achievers with proven project and team management skills who will work conscientiously to drive the next level of growth for BFS in Asia. This position is based out of our Mumbai office.
Responsibilities
Your position as an Associate Director / Principal Consultant will include but not limited to the following key responsibilities :
- Pre-sales / business development support
- Work directly or with the designated account manager(s) to engage clients / prospective clients and prepare proposals as well as lead the pitch with them
- Develop, structure and present proposals / concept notes based on client needs
- Development of thought leadership articles / webinars / participation in events to support brand visibility and business growth
- Project Fulfillment and Project Management
- Lead project fulfillment and manage projects to ensure client expectations are met within stipulated timelines with high levels of engagement. Key role in delivering projects on time with a high degree of quality to achieve high customer satisfaction / NPS.
- Active involvement and guidance to the project team members from inception to conclusion of the project.
- Lead project progress reviews and contribute in development of the analytical frameworks, financial models and outputs as per client requirements and timelines including industry research.
- Carry out proper and rigorous QC / Reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency of the data, analysis and models
- Coaching and mentoring the team as well as drive team development & skills upgradation .
Core Skills :
Excellent Excel skills with proven expertise in creating financial and investment models.Experience in building financial models for feasibility studies, enterprise valuation, financial forecasting, market models, scenario & sensitivity analysis as well as risk analysis.Strong competence in using MS Word, MS Powerpoint.Problem solving ability.Team management and team development especially leading multi-locational / cross border teams in different time zones.Time management and ability to work under pressure.Good communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) in English.Experience in use of PowerBI is preferable.Required Competencies
We’re looking for candidates who -
Masters / Bachelors’ Degree from a reputable institution with a Finance degree, preferably MBA Finance. A Level 3 CFA certification (or equivalent) will be an added advantage.Strong capability in financial / business modeling activities with prior experience in a research / consulting / advisory environment -(10+ years for Associate Director / 7-8 years for Principal Consultant)Strong customer orientation with an ability to understand client requirements; conceptualizing & building financial models based on industry / market knowledgeStrong and proven problem-solving abilities and proactiveGood interpersonal and organizationalDeep knowledge about accounting & financial concepts and valuation. Understanding of the methods / approaches of valuation for early stage and technology companies is also required.Prior experience in analyzing financial information and transactions, performing sensitivity analysis, preparing financial statements (income statement, cash flow, valuations, etc.) as well as building models for decision support.Good understanding of capital markets and financial transactions including due diligence processes.
