Job Description
This is a remote position.
Our client, a global healthcare company, is looking for an Integration Lead who will design, build, and operate end-to-end integrations on SAP Integration Suite (CPI / Cloud Integration) to connect SAP S / 4HANA with SAP and non-SAP systems across a regulated healthcare landscape. The role spans solution design, iFlow development, security & compliance, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement—working closely with functional (S / 4, Ariba, HR), security / compliance, and business stakeholders. (Aligned with standard CPI lead responsibilities and scope.)
This is a 6-month contractual position with likelihood of extension. Candidates must be able to support the client's preferred EST and / or CET time zone.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration Solutions & Design : Translate business / interface requirements into scalable, secure iFlow designs using SAP Cloud Integration (mappings, transformations, routing, error handling)
- iFlow Development & Connectivity : Build and maintain integrations for S / 4HANA and adjacent platforms (e.g., Ariba, SuccessFactors, external APIs / partner systems) using adapters such as HTTPS / REST / SOAP, SFTP, IDoc, OData; implement content modifiers, exception subprocesses, and message mappings (XML / XSLT / JSON)
- Operations & Monitoring : Own CPI monitoring, alerting, and defect triage; perform root-cause analysis, implement resiliency patterns (retries, DLQs), and optimize performance
- Security & Compliance : Enforce secure integrations (OAuth2, Basic Auth, client certificates, Cloud Connector), align with GxP / 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity, and privacy requirements (audit trails, segregation of duties)
- API & Event Enablement : Leverage API Management and (where applicable) Event Mesh / event-driven patterns to standardize external / internal integrations
- Lifecycle & Delivery : Own transport / package management, documentation (HLD / LLD), unit / integration testing, cutover, and hyper-care; support CI / CD and version control where in place
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with functional teams and developers (e.g., IDoc / Proxy, AIF, ABAP) to ensure robust back-end integration behavior and error handling
