Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP DMS Specialist to manage, configure, and optimize the Document Management System (DMS) within the SAP environment. The successful candidate will oversee the complete document lifecycle, ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules, and maintain security and compliance standards. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance document management processes and support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide hands-on expertise in SAP DMS configuration and management with 5-10 years of relevant experience
Manage the complete document lifecycle including creation, storage, retrieval, version control, and archiving within SAP DMS
Configure and maintain metadata for accurate document categorization and efficient searching
Implement and manage version control strategies to track document changes and maintain audit trails
Work extensively with SAP ECC and SAP S / 4HANA, ensuring smooth integration of DMS with MM, PM, and QM modules
Design and manage SAP DMS workflows to automate routing, approval, and document-related processes
Define and implement document categorization strategies to organize and classify documents effectively
Configure and maintain storage solutions integrated with SAP DMS to optimize performance and accessibility
Implement and maintain SAP DMS security protocols including roles, authorizations, and access controls
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and document retention policies within SAP systems
Collaborate with business users and IT teams to gather requirements and develop SAP DMS solutions
Develop and maintain documentation related to SAP DMS configurations, processes, and user guides
Provide end-user training and ongoing support for SAP DMS functionalities
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP DMS and integrations
Participate in system upgrades and enhancements
Stay current with latest SAP DMS features and best practices

Educational Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Required Skills :

5-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP DMS configuration and management

Expertise in document lifecycle management, metadata configuration, and version control

Strong experience with SAP ECC and SAP S / 4HANA

Deep understanding of SAP DMS integration with MM, PM, QM modules

Proficient in designing and managing SAP DMS workflows

Experience with document categorization and storage solution management

Strong knowledge of SAP DMS security and access controls

Solid understanding of compliance and document retention policies

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote environment

Preferred Skills :

Experience with SAP Engineering Control Center (ECTR)

Knowledge of SAP Content Server

Familiarity with OpenText Extended ECM for SAP Solutions

Experience with data migration tools related to SAP DMS

Ability to develop custom SAP DMS solutions or enhancements

SAP DMS certification
