Responsibilities & tasks
- Review of client requirements technical specifications and preparation of control and protection philosophy.
- Preparation of metering and protection single line diagrams (SLDs) showing design principles relays meters and the functional design description.
- CT / VT sizing relay selection and preparation of relay ordering codes for procurement.
- Preparation of schematic diagrams for interface equipment in the control and relay panel scheme to ensure completeness.
- Preparation of logic and interlocking documents including signal list trip matrix and interlock logic diagrams.
- Preparation of circuit diagrams (for new and existing setups applicable for retrofit projects).
- Preparation of cable block diagrams.
- Preparation of electrical control cable schedule and interconnection charts.
- Preparation of wiring and termination diagrams.
- Preparation of core sheets and SCADA I / O schedule.
- Panel engineering expertise layouts general arrangements (including internal views) circuit diagrams wiring tables terminal tables etc.
- Identification and modification of existing drawings using red and green mark-ups as per standard requirements.
- Interface coordination with primary equipment BCU SCADA / RTU and teleprotection systems.
- Design of auxiliary power systems including LV AC and DC panels auxiliary transformers battery and charger sizing AC / DC cable sizing and CB selectivity studies.
- Review of vendor drawings and documents (technical vetting of control and relay panels and auxiliary systems).
- Vendor offer reviews.
- Coordination with other departments such as primary design and the lead engineer.
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) / Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) of primary and secondary systems as required.
- As-built documentation.
- Ensure on-time delivery of design deliverables and maintain vigilance on project schedule impacts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience
Master / Bachelor of Electrical Engineering preferably high voltage or power systems engineering from recognized UniversityShould have the experience of 10 to 12 years in design and planning activities for control and protection especially in the development of HV / EHV substation projects.Experienced in resolving site queries attended site meetings and performed site inspections during the construction phase of HV substation projects.Effectively utilize project management tools and software to manage costs maintain schedules track project progress and manage the design projects.Experienced in performing technical economic and environmental studies.Knowledge of various international standards for control metering and protection systems and equipment.Excellent in English skills oral and written is very important and a requirement.Skilled user of e3 Caddy (SEE Electrical) NEPLAN or similar software.Inspection at the production site / site of components and assembly for control& protection cabinets.Participation in relevant tests at suppliers and at the production site / construction site.Testing and Commissioning experience is an added advantage.Follow-up of quality assurance documentationPersonal competencesEngineering skills with analytical approachWork as a team member with good interpersonal skills.Structured working style with result-oriented approachShould be able to build and maintain good relationships with clients and colleagues.Excellent in English skills oral and written is very important and a requirement.Additional Information :
