Responsibilities –
Understanding the US pension system, IRS regulations, and through knowledge of their segment of the pension operation
Process, validate, and update data in the actuarial and financial models.
Prepare and analyze actuarial and financial reports for US Pension clients.
Prepare the reports and share observations with the checker.
Liaison with onshore consultants for any data or project-related queries resolution, along with the checker.
Participate and contribute to any special project requirements.
Carry out pension benefit calculations and valuations.
Strong knowledge in the following areas is required.
Actuarial Ancillary Services
o Preparation of AFTAP & Annual Valuation Report
o Preparation of PBGC government filing
o Preparation of Annual Funding Notice
o Prepare signature-ready IRS Form 5500
o Form 5500 Schedules
o FASB / ASC 715 reporting
o Preparing Disclosure on IAS 19R / US GAAP
o Should have some knowledge of OPEB / PRM plans (added advantage)
Other Special Services
o TV / Retirees Cash out Calculations
o Age 70½ required minimum distribution requests
o Process Special accounting calculations
Essential Qualifications :
Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Actuarial Sciences
Should have a good knowledge of basic actuarial concepts
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
Ability to multitask, self-starter.
Actuarial Exam progress is required.
Technical Qualifications :
Excellent analytical, problem-solving solving and interpretational skills.
Sound knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and possess good modeling skills
Good command of MS Office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word)
Working knowledge in retirement tools such as 'Relius', 'And ProVal' is an added advantage – for experienced candidates only
