Job description

Responsible for driving Safety culture & best practices in Melting shop ( foundry )

Shall spearhead production of foundry shop and achieve Plan Vs Act

Must improve production planning and shift management on continuous basis.

Shall continuously work on Burning Loss reduction and optimization of other losses.

Improve yield in line with planned targets.

Implement cost reduction strategies for variable expenses such as stores, consumables, power, fuel, manpower, and tooling.

Shall work on continuous upgradation of shop in terms of Automation & in line with digitization journey.

Shall continuously work on implementation of TPM , JH , 5S and other best practices

Reduce internal and external rejections by continuous process improvement and monitoring.

Provide proper training on Manufacturing best practices and guide team for implementation.

Control utility power consumption including fans, lighting, compressors, air conditioning, and pump motors.

Initiate and implement process improvement plans on a regular basis.

Maintain accurate operational data, including time, production output, etc and do timely reporting of factory indices.

Minimize costs by optimizing the use of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.

Coordinate, establish, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational guidelines.

Reduce furnace cycle time by implementing proper melting practices and minimizing furnace holding conditions.

Control the dross removal process to prevent excessive metal loss from dross.

Maintain furnace lining life through proper operation and regular cleaning.

Strictly monitor melting process parameters to eliminate defects related to melting
