Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineering Trainer with deep expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing automation systems . The trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs on industrial automation technologies, process control systems, and GxP-compliant automation practices used in pharmaceutical production, packaging, and utilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and deliver technical training modules on :
- PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and HMI systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Emerson, Honeywell).
- Batch automation, process control, and recipe management.
- Equipment automation (reactors, fermenters, autoclaves, HVAC, CIP / SIP systems).
- Pharma-specific automation standards (21 CFR Part 11, GAMP5, Data Integrity).
- Networking and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet / IP).
- Conduct hands-on training sessions using simulation tools and real equipment setups.
- Develop training materials, case studies, and assessments tailored for pharma operations.
- Train engineers, technicians, and operators in automation troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Support cross-functional skill enhancement for validation, QA, and manufacturing teams.
- Keep training programs aligned with evolving industry trends and regulatory updates.
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal SMEs and external vendors to enhance course content.
Required Skills & Competencies :
Strong hands-on expertise in PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems (Siemens / Rockwell / Delta / Emerson).Good knowledge of automation in cleanroom and aseptic environments .Understanding of GxP, GAMP5, and CSV (Computer System Validation) principles.Familiarity with Batch Control (ISA-88) and Process Automation Standards (ISA-95) .Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.Ability to design structured learning modules for diverse skill levels.An analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex automation topics.Educational Qualification :
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering .Certifications in automation systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, or ISA) preferred.Additional qualification in training / adult learning (optional but desirable).Preferred Background :
Experience in pharma manufacturing, utilities, or packaging automation projects .Exposure to 21 CFR Part 11 compliance and audit readiness .Prior experience as a technical trainer, lead automation engineer, or SME .
