About the Role : -
We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in building and maintaining automation solutions using Playwright with TypeScript / Java . As part of a service delivery team, you will be working across diverse client engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and contributing to test automation strategies tailored to each client’s needs. The role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to work in dynamic environments across multiple domains and projects.
Key Responsibilities : -
- Design, implement, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript / Java , aligned to client requirements.
- Develop and execute automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and integrations .
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, business analysts, developers, and QA teams to understand testing requirements.
- Participate in requirements analysis, test design, and test approach discussions during client engagements.
- Ensure automation scripts are scalable, reusable, and integrated with CI / CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Provide status updates and demo automation progress during client meetings and agile ceremonies.
- Log, track, and manage defects using client-specified tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Rally, etc.).
- Contribute to estimation, planning, and effort forecasting for automation tasks in client projects.
- Coordinate environment readiness with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth test execution.
- Design and implement a test data strategy to support automation testing across projects.
- Train and mentor junior team members on automation best practices when required.
- Continuously research and recommend new tools, frameworks, and accelerators to enhance test automation efficiency for client engagements.
Required Qualifications & Skills : -
3–5 years of hands-on experience in test automation development .Strong expertise in Playwright with TypeScript or Java .Experience in framework design, scripting, and test execution for web applications.Hands-on experience with unit and testing frameworks such as Jest , TestNG , JUnit , or Cucumber .Proficiency in API testing and automation (REST / GraphQL).Working knowledge of CI / CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).Solid understanding of software testing principles , QA methodologies, and defect lifecycle.Strong coding fundamentals with a solid grasp of OOP concepts , design principles , and clean coding practices .Ability to write maintainable , reusable , and scalable automation code following industry-standard coding conventions .Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills .Excellent client-facing communication and documentation skills.Preferred Skills : -
Experience working in a service-based environment with multiple clients / projects.Familiarity with cloud-based test execution platforms (e.g., Browser Stack, Sauce Labs, Lambda Test).Experience with external test reporting and dashboards, such as Allure, Extent Reports, or other similar reporting tools.Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint ceremonies.Awareness of performance and security testing basics .ImpactQA Is Committed to Equality
