Mid-level QA Automation Engineer (Selenium WebDriver) — C2H (Contract Remote - FT Hybrid)

Work model : Roles start as remote contract , then move to hybrid onsite once the candidate becomes full-time (FTE).

Contract type : Initially projected as a 3-month contract-to-hire , but in practice, conversion to full-time takes longer.

We're hiring a junior QA automation engineer (at least 5 years of experience) who enjoys building reliable UI tests, writing clean scripts, and ensuring quality across web applications.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases using the existing Selenium WebDriver framework.
• Write simple automation scripts ( locators, waits, reusable functions ) under senior guidance.
• Create and update test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Run test suites locally and in shared environments; capture logs, screenshots, and reports .
• Log clear, reproducible defects and re-test fixes.
• Maintain test data and smoke / regression checklists.
• Contribute small step definitions / Gherkin scenarios in a Cucumber BDD framework.
• Participate in daily stand-ups , sharing testing progress and blockers.
