Job description
  • Finds and chooses games developed by third-party developers to publish.
  • Recruits and develops internal or third-party development talent to develop the publisher's game concepts.
  • Manage significant sums of money and work within the budget

  • Acquires film and other intellectual property licenses to develop into games.
  • Provides technical and production support to its game developers, which may include such things as development tool licensing, use of publisher-owned proprietary tools, localization, and / or porting.

  • Promotes, advertises, manufactures, sells and distributes the games it publishes.
  • Provides technical and customer support.
  • For online game, a publisher may be responsible for community management and running the live team that develops new content.

    • Requirements

    • Project management : Minimum 5yrs experience in understanding how a game is made from start to finish and be able to plan that process, keeping on top of what needs to happen and when
    • Communication : create a game’s brand, tell its story and work with a wide range of clients
    • Knowledge of games industry : in-depth understanding of the games market, where people buy games, what platforms they enjoy, what games do well and what will happen next
    • Knowledge of rights and licensing : aware of the law about copyright and the licensing of games, negotiate deals
    • Budget handling : manage significant sums of money and work within the budget
    • Excellent multitasking skills
    • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
