Job Description

End-to-End Credit Approval :

  • Support and partner with business teams to manage the entire credit approval process within the designated region.

Credit Underwriting :

  • Underwrite credit applications for corporate finance products across all customer segments.
  • Present underwriting recommendations to senior-level management.
  • Having deep understanding of various industries
  • Suggest / Incorporate adequate transaction structures for mitigating Risks and maintain quality loan portfolio.
  • Deviations Authorization :

  • Authorize deviations from credit policies when raised and documented by underwriters, ensuring compliance.
  • Credit Memo Review :

  • Finalize the review of credit memos prepared by underwriters.
  • Approve or decline credit applications, considering documentation requests.
  • Disbursement Approvals :

  • Approve disbursement requests based on adherence to sanctioned conditions and ensuring appropriate documentation.
  • Vendor Follow-up :

  • Oversee and initiate follow-ups with external vendors to resolve queries, ensure timely report submission, and eliminate delays.
  • Business Insights :

  • Collaborate with the recoveries team to generate business insights from credit data and portfolio performance.
  • Team Leadership :

  • Lead and manage a team of credit manager to ensure quality of credit portfolio and minimize delinquencies.
  • Provide training and coaching to enhance team's competency and processing efficiency.
  • Portfolio Monitoring

  • Identification of Early warning signals to earmark stress accounts and initiation of exit from stress accounts
  • Proactive monitoring of portfolio for control over credit costs.
  • Presentation of Regional portfolio including cuts to Senior Management
  • Strategic Initiatives and Credit Program Development :

  • Engage in the development, implementation, review, and monitoring of various credit programs to support business growth.
  • Participate actively in development and adoption of digital processes and automation.
  • Conducting portfolio reviews including Sector Specific Reviews
  • Travel and Branch Oversight :

  • Extensively travel within the region to oversee branches under the designated territory.
  • Provide guidance to the team and ensure the quality of the portfolio.
  • Compliance :

    Ensure strict compliance with all audit, regulatory, and company regulations, processes, policies, and reporting systems
