Role Overview Description

WordPress Developer (WordPress & Shopify

Position Overview -

As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining WordPress and Shopify-based e-commerce sites. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth integrations, clean code, and exceptional performance across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities -

Design and develop custom WordPress themes.
Develop, and maintain WordPress websites with custom themes, plugins, and integrations.
Manage Shopify stores, including theme development, customization, and app integrations.
Write clean, efficient, and reusable code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Liquid (Shopify templating).
Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs, performance issues, and integration challenges.
Optimize website speed, responsiveness, and SEO performance to enhance user experience.
Collaborate with Marketing and Design teams to implement website features, product pages, and landing pages.
Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and payment gateways across WordPress and Shopify platforms.
Perform regular site maintenance, updates, backups, and audits to ensure security and reliability.
Stay updated with new technologies, industry best practices, and e-commerce trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications -

5+ years of experience in WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins.

Must have Wordpress Custom Theme development experience. Shopify, including Liquid development and app integrations experience a plus.

Experience with responsive design, cross-browser testing, and performance optimization.

Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Github)

Experience integrating third-party APIs and tools (e.g., payment processors, shipping systems).

Strong understanding of SEO principles and technical SEO.
