Job Title : Head of Technical Program Management

About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned leader to head our Technical Program Management (TPM) function. The role demands a strategic thinker with strong execution skills, who can lead large-scale, complex technology initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders. You will be responsible for building and scaling the TPM organization, driving cross-functional alignment, ensuring timely delivery, and enabling the organization to achieve its technology and business goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Technical Program Managers.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of large, complex, and cross-functional technical programs across engineering, product, and business teams.
- Establish best practices, frameworks, and processes for program management to improve predictability, transparency, and accountability.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to define roadmaps, set priorities, and align execution with strategic objectives.
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and escalations across multiple programs.
- Provide executive-level communication, reporting, and updates on key initiatives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the TPM function.
- Enable data-driven decision-making by establishing metrics and KPIs for program success.
Qualifications :
15–20 years of total experience, with at least 6–8 years in program management leadership roles in technology-driven organizations.Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, multi-disciplinary, and complex technical programs.Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and program management frameworks.Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to influence without authority and work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.Technical background (engineering / CS degree or equivalent) strongly preferred; MBA is a plus.
