Job Title : Mainframe Developer / Senior Mainframe Engineer

Application Development & Maintenance :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mainframe Developer with 7-8 years of professional experience to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, Stored Procedures, Telon, Legasuite, Shellscripts with hands-on experience in maintaining, designing, and developing high-performance mainframe applications using Microfocus ED 9.0. You will be responsible for analysing business requirements, developing solutions, and ensuring the stability and performance of our mainframe systems.

Required Skills :

Mainframe Programming : Strong proficiency in COBOL , JCL , Telon .
Database Management : Expertise in DB2 with experience in writing SQL queries and database optimization.
Tools : Familiarity with VSAM , REXX , Endevor , File-Aid , Microfocus and other mainframe utilities.
Version Control : Knowledge of version control tools such as Endevor or CA-Panvalet .
Batch Processing : Experience with creating, managing, and optimizing batch jobs.
Problem Solving : Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving system and application-level issues.

Desired Skills :

Agile / Scrum Methodologies : Experience working in an agile development environment.

Middleware Integration : Knowledge of MQ Series or other middleware tools for system integration.

Cloud Exposure : Understanding of hybrid architectures involving mainframe and cloud technologies.

Automation & Modernization : Experience with automation of jobs and processes, and familiarity with modernization tools (e.g., Micro Focus).
