Senior Test Engineer (Database Tester) - Immediate Opening

We are looking for an experienced Database Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL-based testing, backend validation, and data-intensive application testing . This role requires excellent skills in writing complex queries, validating large datasets, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity across systems. At least mid-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data validation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and design test cases focused on database and backend validation .
• Write, execute, and optimise complex SQL queries to validate business logic, data integrity, and workflows.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems.
• Use Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, validations) for data analysis and reporting.
• Perform backend testing to ensure proper integration of applications with underlying databases.
• Identify, log, and track issues using test management tools such as JIRA or TestRail.
• Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Prepare detailed test documentation including test cases, execution results, and defect reports.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of database testing processes .
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and independently handle client discussions.
