Job Opening : Senior Linux Kernel & Networking Engineer

Location : Bangalore & Pune (Hybrid)

Experience : 5–8 Years

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Linux Kernel & Networking Engineer with 5–8 years of expertise in low-level system programming, kernel development, and networking . The role involves working on kernel modules, network stack enhancements, and system performance optimization, while collaborating across hardware, QA, and application teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and debug Linux kernel modules and device drivers .

Enhance and optimize the Linux networking stack and implement protocols.

Perform kernel-level troubleshooting and debugging of networking issues.

Optimize system performance related to networking and I / O.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless end-to-end integration .

Participate in design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews .

Required Skills

Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP / IP, UDP, VLAN, VPN, etc.).

Proficiency in C / C++ and shell scripting .

Hands-on experience with Linux networking stack and performance tuning.

Experience with kernel debugging tools (kgdb, ftrace, perf, etc.).

Familiarity with Git and build tools (Make, CMake).

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field .

Experience with DPDK, Netfilter, eBPF , or similar technologies.

Exposure to Linux security and firewall features .

Contributions to open-source kernel / networking projects (a strong plus).
