Job Profile : Position details :

Purpose :

To enhance the existing risk reporting data warehouses, tools and technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Responsibilities will include :

Contribute to the design and development of efficient data models, schemas and pipelines

Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions to extract, transform and load data

Optimize query performance to ensure data integrity and consistency

Providing database technology subject matter expertise, collaborating with risk stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Implement data security measures and access controls aligned with firm’s governance policies

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines; identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions

Participate in code reviews and document change made in the required format

Implement and maintain CI / CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment and monitoring of data solutions

Job Requirements :

Bachelors’ Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred.

Essential :

Advanced proficiency in SQL including stored procedures, views, triggers and functions

Solid knowledge of data warehousing principles, dimensional modelling and star schema design

Experience working with large data warehouses including performance tuning, query optimization and execution plan analysis

Familiarity with data integration tools (SSIS, ADF) and techniques (ELT, ETL)

Need to have BFSI domain experience

Preferred :

Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell) for data processing and automation

Experience of working with risk systems within a financial institution

Experience with multiple database platforms e.g. SQL Server, Oracle and Snow Flake

Experience of using Control-M or similar orchestration tools

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Dev Ops practices
