Backend lead engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly capable Backend Lead to architect, build, and scale our backend systems powering AI-driven products. You will design robust backend architectures, lead the engineering team, drive technical direction, and ensure our APIs, services, and infrastructure are optimized for high-performance AI workloads.

Key Roles

• Architect and develop scalable backend systems using Django, Fast API, microservices, and domain-driven design principles.
• Lead the planning, designing, and implementation of RESTful APIs and backend services used by internal and external applications.
• Oversee backend integrations for AI model inference, job orchestration, async processing, and high-load GPU-backed services.
• Manage data storage solutions across Postgre SQL, Mongo DB, Redis, and implement caching and pub / sub patterns.
• Build reliable asynchronous task systems using Celery, Redis queues, Rabbit MQ, or equivalent.
• Lead, mentor, and support the backend engineering team—code reviews, technical guidance, architecture decisions, and delivery planning.
• Collaborate with ML, Dev Ops, and product teams to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery of AI features.
