About the Opportunity

Healthcare Eye Care / Ophthalmology sector delivering comprehensive clinical and surgical ophthalmology services to patients across the Mathura region. We are recruiting an on-site Consultant Ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery (phaco) to join a high-volume clinical practice in Kalyanam Karoti Mathura Uttar Pradesh. This role focuses on delivering excellent surgical outcomes patient counselling and participation in community outreach.

Role & Responsibilities

• Perform high-volume cataract surgery (phacoemulsification) and small-incision cataract surgery (SICS) including complex cases and premium / IOL implantations ensuring optimal refractive outcomes.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessment : slit-lamp exam biometry OCT interpretation risk stratification and informed consent / counselling for patients and families.
• Provide structured post-operative care : monitor recovery manage complications perform YAG capsulotomy and secondary procedures when indicated.
• Maintain accurate surgical logs and outcome audits; analyse refractive results and drive quality-improvement initiatives to reduce complications and improve visual outcomes.
• Lead and mentor junior surgeons optometrists and theatre staff; organise surgical lists maintain OT efficiency and support community cataract screening camps.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control sterilisation protocols and safe operation / maintenance of phaco machines and microscopes.
