Job Title : Die Inspector

Location : Ghaziabad Department : Quality Experience Required : 34 years in Quality or Tool Room department (preferably in aluminum die casting pistons or automotive components).

Qualification : Diploma in Tool & Die Making Salary Range : As per Industry No of Openings- 1

Industry : Auto Component Manufacturing-Especially Pistons & Rings.

Job Summary : To ensure the dimensional accuracy fitment and performance of piston dies and tooling used in aluminum die casting through precise checking inspection and documentation ensuring dies meet operational and quality standards before and after production. Key Responsibilities :

1. Die Inspection & Checking â Inspect new repaired and serviced piston dies as per inspection checklists and drawings. â Measure and verify die dimensions clearances alignment and wear using precision instruments (e.g. Vernier calipers micrometers height gauges dial indicators CMM if applicable). â Conduct pre-production and post-production die inspection and record observations.

2. Tool Maintenance Support â Assist toolmakers in identifying die wear cracks or damage and recommend corrective actions. â Verify die condition after polishing welding or machining operations. â Ensure correct die assembly and parting line matching.

3. Documentation & Reporting â Maintain die inspection reports tool history cards and dimensional records. â Communicate findings to tool design and maintenance teams for corrective actions. â Support periodic audit of dies and maintain inspection logbooks.

4. Quality & Process Adherence â Ensure die checking is carried out as per standard operating procedures and quality standards (ISO / IATF). â Identify potential die issues that can affect casting quality (flash mismatch shrinkage defects etc.). â Ensure proper handling storage and tagging of inspected dies.

5. Safety & 5S Compliance â Follow all safety procedures while handling dies and inspection tools. â Maintain cleanliness and organization in the tool inspection area.

Required Skills & Competencies : â Strong knowledge of aluminum die casting process and piston tooling. â Ability to read and interpret 2D / 3D die drawings. â Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments. â Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). â Basic computer skills for data entry and report preparation (MS Excel ERP entry etc.). â Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
