US HUD Auditor Job Description

A highly skilled audit professional with extensive experience in US GAAP HUD Audits, Multifamily Housing Audits, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Audits, Affordable Housing Audits, or Low-Income Housing Audits is sought. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HUD compliance requirements and experience working with clients in the affordable housing sector.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct audits in accordance with US GAAP and HUD guidelines for multifamily housing entities.
• Review and assess financial statements, compliance reports, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with HUD regulations, including REAC submissions and Uniform Financial Reporting Standards.
• Perform audits related to Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and other affordable housing programs.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve audit findings and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on changes in HUD regulations and industry best practices.
