About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Head of Revenue & Sales to lead monetisation and business development for ChiniMandi and BioEnergy Times two of India's most influential digital platforms in the sugar, ethanol, and bioenergy sectors.
This role is central to driving growth through sponsored content, advertising partnerships, branded content, industry campaigns, and tailored B2B marketing solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with ground-level execution to convert industry relationships into measurable revenue outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall revenue generation and monetisation strategy across both platforms.
- Develop and pitch custom sponsorships, advertorials, and thought-leadership campaigns to industry stakeholders including corporates, associations, technology providers, and event sponsors.
- Build and manage the sales pipeline for digital ads, newsletters, video content, podcasts, and event collaborations.
- Work closely with the editorial and marketing teams to co-create high-impact content solutions aligned with client goals.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with decision-makers in sugar, ethanol, and bioenergy value chains.
- Lead a small, agile sales team of two executives, mentoring them while staying hands-on in client acquisition and deal closures.
- Track performance, report KPIs, and ensure consistent revenue growth month-on-month.
- Represent the brands at industry events, expos, and networking platforms to build visibility and client relationships.
Who We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in media sales, brand partnerships, or digital monetisation, preferably with platforms such as ET Spotlight, Medianet, Trade India, YourStory, or other B2B / sectoral media.Proven success in driving revenue through integrated campaigns and client-centric storytelling.Excellent network within corporate communications, PR, and marketing teams of relevant industries.Entrepreneurial attitude, thrives in a fast-moving, evolving ecosystem.Must be a field-oriented performer, not just a desk-based manager.Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Why Join Us
