Job Objective :
The primary objective of the Lead Generator is to
convert incoming enquiries into confirmed sales
identify potential markets
, and
proactively generate new business opportunities
through research, cold calling, and relationship building. This role plays a key part in driving the company’s growth by building a strong and consistent sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead Conversion :
Follow up on inbound enquiries from various channels (website, ads, exhibitions, referrals, etc.) and convert them into qualified leads or confirmed sales.
Market Research :
Identify potential customers, industries, and regions for business expansion.
Cold Calling & Outreach :
Conduct outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to connect with new prospects and schedule meetings or demos.
Database Management :
Maintain and update CRM or lead database with accurate customer details and activity logs.
Lead Qualification :
Understand customer needs, budget, and decision-making process to qualify leads effectively.
Coordination :
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure smooth handover of qualified leads.
Follow-Up :
Maintain regular communication with prospects to nurture leads until conversion.
Reporting :
Prepare daily / weekly reports on calls made, leads generated, conversions, and potential opportunities.
Key Skills & Competencies :
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).
Strong persuasion, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Confidence in making outbound calls and handling objections.
Good research and analytical skills to identify new markets and customers.
Basic understanding of CRM tools and lead tracking.
Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive attitude.
Time management and ability to work under pressure to meet targets.
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
1–3 years of experience in lead generation, inside sales, or telemarketing (preferably in [e.g., FMCG, consumer goods, home care, etc.]).
Freshers with strong communication skills and willingness to learn may also apply.
Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
Number of qualified leads generated per month.
Enquiry-to-sale conversion rate.
Number of outbound calls / emails made per day.
Revenue generated from converted leads.
