STB Testing Engineer - Appium / Selenium

Description : Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced STB Testing Engineer (3-7 years experience) with mandatory expertise in Set-Top Box environments, including DTH / IPTV and OTT devices (Smart TVs, Android TV). The ideal local candidate will possess a good understanding of core media services like live TV, VOD, catch-up, and nPVR, coupled with knowledge of CAS and Head-End systems. Key responsibilities include performing manual Functional and Non-Functional testing, and understanding software and firmware updates using GOTA and OTA protocols to ensure the robust delivery of media applications.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

STB and Media Platform Testing :

• Demonstrate a Good Understanding of set-top boxes (STB), covering different architectures including DTH / IPTV and connected OTT devices (smart TVs, Android TV, Android apps).
• Test core media consumption features including live TV, catch-up TV, VOD (Video-on-Demand), time-shifted TV, and nPVR (network Personal Video Recorder) functionality.
• Apply OTT and STB testing knowledge to validate application stability, user experience, and streaming performance across various device types.
• Execute comprehensive Manual testing for both Functional and Non-Functional requirements (performance, reliability, security).
