We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer – Data Visualization Lead (Tableau) to design, develop, and deliver high-impact dashboards and analytical solutions. This role requires end-to-end ownership of BI solutions, strong Databricks expertise, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for the Lending domain.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze source system data and ensure accurate interpretation for reporting needs.

Estimate, develop, and deliver ad-hoc and new Tableau MIS requirements.

Design advanced, visually compelling Tableau dashboards aligned with business goals, using best practices in data storytelling and BI design.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.

Optimize Tableau workbooks for performance and scalability.

Work extensively on Databricks (25%) to integrate, process, and transform large datasets.

Build and maintain Databricks notebooks supporting data transformations and analytical workflows (25%).

Ensure data quality, consistency, governance, and compliance with security / masking standards.

Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver end-to-end BI and reporting solutions.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Proactively monitor dashboards, perform data reconciliation, testing, documentation, and troubleshoot MIS issues.

Ensure all developments adhere to standard coding patterns and audit guidelines.

Stay updated with BI trends and continuously optimize visualization performance and usability.

Core Competencies

Strong expertise in Advanced SQL, T-SQL / Spark SQL, and data transformation techniques.

6–10 years of BI & data visualization experience with deep proficiency in Tableau (LOD, parameters, calc fields, dashboard actions).

1–2 years of hands-on experience in Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark SQL, Python / Scala.

Experience in the Lending / Banking / NBFC domain : Loan lifecycle, credit risk, collections, regulatory reporting.

Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and performance tuning.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with advanced analytics & visualization scenarios :

Time Series, Forecasting, Correlation, ABC Classification, Hierarchical Data, Bucketing, What-If, Segmentation, Basket Analysis, Time Intelligence, etc.

Experience embedding MIS / BI dashboards into Web Applications.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Tableau certification preferred.

Experience with Azure / AWS / GCP cloud platforms.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA).

5+ years of proven experience in Tableau Data Visualization & Data Modeling.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Understanding of core NBFC / Banking functions : Sales, Credit, Collections.
