About the Opportunity
We are hiring on-site part-time Medical Documentation Officers to manage paper-based Ayushman Bharat documentation and beneficiary verification in hospital settings. This position is ideal for MBBS freshers preparing for postgraduate entrance exams who need flexible occasional on-site shifts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Complete accurate paper-based documentation for Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries : admit forms consent forms discharge summaries and claim supporting documents.
- Verify beneficiary identity and entitlements using Ayushman Bharat guidelines and supporting government IDs; flag discrepancies for clinical / administrative review.
- Apply basic clinical coding standards (ICD-10) to diagnoses and procedures as required for claims submission and record-keeping.
- Organize file and maintain physical medical records ensuring completeness legibility and audit-readiness for claims processing.
- Coordinate with clinical staff and billing teams to collect missing documentation and support timely claim finalization.
- Support periodic internal audits and provide clear handovers for part-time / on-call shifts; maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection norms.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
MBBS degree (freshers only) with completed internship or eligible for clinical documentation duties.Familiarity with Ayushman Bharat scheme documentation and beneficiary verification workflows.Ability to apply basic ICD-10 coding for diagnoses and procedures.Comfort with paper-based medical record management and basic filing systems.Availability for on-site shifts and occasional visits with flexible scheduling to accommodate PG preparation.High attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.Preferred
