Job Description

Primary skills : Kubernetes

Docker

Git

Ansible

Redhat Administration preferable

Good hands-on knowledge of Source Code Management (Version Control System) tools like Git, GitLab.

Managing and configuring monitoring / logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, alert manager etc.

Knowledge in writing Ansible Playbooks and Ansible Administration

Hands on Redhat Administration experience in all the latest versions

Perform capacity planning for on prem k8s cluster.

Design and implement service discovery on Kubernetes.

Design and build the container registry for storing container images.

Build the base images according to application requirement.

Scan the images for vulnerabilities.

Design and implement Ingress controller for application load balancing (path / host).

Upgrading cluster nodes according to cluster latest version.

Patch the cluster nodes as per patching cycle.

Drain the nodes if required.

Autoscaling Kubernetes pods inside namespaces.

Creating namespaces inside cluster based on user requests.

Create the objects like role, role bindings and PVC etc. for the app team.

Increase the PVC if required by app team.

Provide the access to the user to the namespaces based on user request.

Troubleshooting cluster nodes whenever failure occurs.

Troubleshooting Kubernetes pods.

Provide support to the app teams for any CI / CD job failures.

Ensuring cluster nodes and pods are up and running.

Limiting resources like CPU, memory to pods and namespaces.

Implementation of service mesh called Istio.

Good knowledge on Helm package manager.
