Role Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who will lead the design, prototyping, and optimization of our robotic cleaning platforms. You will work at the intersection of mechanical systems, electronics integration, and real-world environmental constraints (dust, wind, temperature).
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems and assemblies using CAD software
- Develop mechanisms for drive systems, brush assemblies, linkages, and enclosures
- Perform DFMEA, material selection, weight optimization, and stress analysis
- Collaborate with electronics and controls team for system integration (motors, sensors, PCBs)
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and documentation
- Manage prototyping, field testing, and iteration based on real-world feedback
- Work with vendors for CNC, sheet metal, and machining component fabrication
- Ensure design reliability in outdoor, high-soiling, high-temperature environments

Design Engineering, Machine Design, and Product Design skillsMechanical Engineering and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) proficiencyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldExperience in the renewable energy robotics is a plus
