Job description
  • Manage and troubleshoot  Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)  at an advanced level.
  • Perform  kernel tuning, patching, and OS upgrades  while ensuring system stability.
  • Implement and maintain  high-availability (HA) clusters, load balancing, and failover mechanisms  .
  • Automate system administration tasks using  Shell scripting, Ansible, or Python  .
  • Monitor server performance and resolve  CPU, memory, and I / O bottlenecks  .
  • Troubleshoot complex system failures, log analysis, and root cause investigations.
  • Manage  LVM, RAID, and storage configurations  for optimal performance.
  • Configure and secure services such as  Apache, Nginx, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Docker / Kubernetes  .
  • Work on  identity and access management  (LDAP, SSO, PAM configurations).
  • Ensure  compliance with security policies  and hardening Linux systems (CIS benchmarks, firewall rules, SELinux, etc.).
  • Collaborate with  cross-functional teams (networking, DevOps, security, and application teams)  to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide  L3 escalation support  and mentor junior engineers.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications :

    5+ years  of hands-on Linux system administration experience.

    Expertise in  troubleshooting complex Linux issues  and performance tuning.

    Strong knowledge of  scripting (Bash, Python, or Ansible)  for automation.

    Experience with  HA clusters, load balancing (HAProxy, Keepalived), and failover setups  .

    Familiarity with  virtualization and cloud platforms  (VMware, AWS, Azure, or GCP).

    Hands-on experience with  containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)  .

    Experience with  monitoring tools  like Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or Zabbix.

    Strong understanding of  networking concepts (TCP / IP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls, etc.)  .

    Security hardening experience (SELinux, AppArmor, iptables, etc.).

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Good to Have :

    • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certification.
    • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
    • Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
