Job descriptionPreparing new bridge designs and strengthening existing ones to UK standards. Compliance with appropriate design and health and safety standards. Carrying out design and assessment checks under the guidance of a Senior or Principal Engineer. Preparing or assisting others in compiling drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence within given deadlines. Knowledge of Eurocodes. UK CEng qualification. Familiarity with computer-aided design software such as MIDAS, LUSAS, Superstress, SAM, ARCHIE, and other relevant tools. The opportunity to work on a wide range of bridge projects. A collaborative and dynamic work environment. Ongoing training and professional development opportunities. The Bridge Design and Assessment Professional must follow QA, document control, archiving, and CDM guidelines on all work. They must ensure the correct implementation of document control and QA processes are followed for issue and filing / archiving of all work carried out.
