Senior QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to jo in our growing product engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software platforms through automation, continuous testing, and process excellence.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams across development, DevOps, and product to establish robust testing strategies, build scalable automation frameworks, and maintain high-quality standards across all deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, and backend systems.

Build and execute end-to-end automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestNG.

Collaborate with developers to define clear testable requirements and ensure comprehensive coverage.

Integrate automation scripts within CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI) for continuous quality validation.

Conduct performance, load, and reliability testing using JMeter, Locust, or equivalent tools.

Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution through collaboration with engineering teams.

Lead QA process improvements and advocate best practices in test automation and quality engineering.

Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to overall automation maturity across the organization.

Requirements

Preferred Skills   & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing and QA automation.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Java for test automation scripting.

Hands-on experience with UI and API test automation frameworks.

Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps environments.

Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP).

Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Requirements

Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django. Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Working knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar). Experience with Git and agile development workflows. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
