We build and maintain the core infrastructure that keeps Flipkart running, ensuring seamless operations and personalized experiences for millions of users every day.
As a Senior Architect in the CSE Platforms team, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, and optimizing systems that drive the consumer experience across Flipkart’s platform. You will work closely with engineering leaders, product managers, and cross-functional teams to build scalable, resilient, and highly available systems that enhance the customer journey. You will lead architectural decisions, drive best practices, and mentor teams in adopting cutting-edge technologies
You are responsible for :
- Architect Scalable Systems : Design and build scalable, distributed, and high-performance consumer-facing platforms to support millions of transactions per second.
- Technical Leadership : Provide thought leadership and direction on key architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical strategy.
- Innovation & Optimization : Identify opportunities for innovation in the consumer shopping experience, leveraging AI / ML, personalization, and performance optimizations.
- Cross-Team Collaboration : Work closely with product, engineering, UX, and data science teams to drive seamless customer experiences across platforms.
- Security & Reliability : Ensure system security, scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability by following industry best practices.
- Mentorship & Guidance : Mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and architectural best practices.
- Technology Evaluation : Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to continuously enhance Flipkart’s tech ecosystem.
You should have :
13+ years of experience in software architecture, system design, and distributed computing.Deep expertise in microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and cloud-native development.Strong knowledge of high-scale, low-latency, and high-availability architectures.Proficiency in Java, Golang, Python, or other modern programming languages.Hands-on experience with Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Experience with data-intensive applications, AI-driven personalization, and search optimization is a plus.Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy best practices.Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and communication skills.
