Job Title :

Data Governance Architect - IDMC

Work Location :

Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Noida, Hyderabad.

Work Experience : 10 years & Above

Job Responsibilities :

Design and implement enterprise-wide Data Governance frameworks, policies, and standards to align with regulatory and business requirements.

Lead the identification, assessment, and remediation of data quality issues across multiple systems and domains.

Champion data stewardship initiatives and define roles and responsibilities to ensure data ownership, accountability, and traceability.

Utilize and manage Data Governance tools including :

Informatica IDMC (Cloud Data Governance & Catalog, Data Quality, CDI / CDQ)

Enable data cataloging, lineage, metadata management, and quality profiling to enhance data transparency and usability across the organization.

Conduct regular data governance and compliance audits, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders and leadership.

Deliver training sessions and awareness programs for business and IT teams on governance standards, stewardship roles, and data quality best practices.

Stay abreast of emerging data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and implement policies to ensure ongoing compliance.

Collaborate with data architects, engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to embed governance across the data lifecycle.

Job Requirements :

10+ years of experience

in data engineering and

5+ years of relevant experience

in Data Governance, Data Quality, or Compliance roles.

Proficiency with Informatica Governance tools-

IDMC , and one or more of the following :

Axon ,

Alation ,

Microsoft Purview ,

Talend , or

Ataccama .(added advantage)

Strong understanding of

data management principles ,

metadata management ,

lineage tracking , and

data quality rules .

Solid grasp of

data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks .

Exceptional

analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills .

Experience working in

cross-functional teams

across IT and business units.
